Looking Ahead to Our 60th Anniversary

1. “Follow That Star” Concert @ First Congregational Church, Royal Oak, October 2020, featuring songs from musicals and movies with inspirational and spirit-lifting lyrics. Exact date TBA.

2. Holiday Concert @ St. Malachy Catholic Church, Sterling Heights, on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 7:30 PM.

3. Holiday Concert @ Our Lady of La Salette Catholic Church, Berkley, on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 3 PM, featuring holiday favorites, old and new.

4. Spring Concert @ St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Troy, on Saturday, May 1, 2021, featuring favorites from Cantata's 60-year history and presenting the World Premiere of a newly commissioned piece by internationally renowned composer, Stacey Gibbs. This upcoming season we will be celebrating Cantata's 60th Anniversary Year. To mark this special occasion we have commissioned a choral piece by Stacey Gibbs, an internationally renowned composer from Detroit. Mr. Gibbs is a prolific and highly sought-after composer and arranger whose works are performed world-wide. Cantata has found Mr. Gibbs' compositions to be creative, challenging crowd-pleasers, and we look forward to this wonderful collaboration. Cantata has selected the poetry to be used as lyrics, and Mr. Gibbs is setting the poem to music. Cantata will perform the World Premiere at our Spring concert in 2021. More details coming soon!
